Selecting a Customer Service Technician is crucial for maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction among homeowners. This role proactively resolves customers’ issues after closing by handling warranty requests, performing repairs, and scheduling subcontractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantability.
  • Process written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions for homeowner repairs.
  • Perform necessary repairs to homes such as carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors to perform designated warranty repairs.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with industry standards.
  • Certify warranty work is completed within contractor obligations.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
  • Follow up with homeowners to confirm concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Process charge‑back documentation and invoices.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and enhance the company’s goodwill and profit.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to travel overnight.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three or more years of related experience, including carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle capable of carrying supplies; willing to drive among designated communities during daytime and nighttime.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive without supervision.
  • Ability to utilize DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work.
