Responsibilities

Make an impact

  • Provide global second level technical support for all mechanical components of KUKA robots, linear units, and positioners,
  • Act as subject matter expert for gears, drives, lubrication, load cases, robot accuracy and mechanical behavior,
  • Analyze complex mechanical issues using laboratory equipment and conduct on site troubleshooting when required,
  • Document all inquiries, solutions, and findings in the CRM system (Salesforce) and the internal Knowledge Database,
  • Perform root cause analyses in close collaboration with Quality and R&D to support corrective and preventive actions,
  • Support the improvement of existing products by providing systematic field feedback and serviceability insights,
  • Manage complaint cases including field observation, interim actions, corrective measures and customer communication,
  • Contribute service expertise to new product development,
  • Participate in field and application tests during product launch and prepare service documentation, configuration guidelines and technical bulletins,
  • Support key customers or strategic pilot installations during rollout phases,
  • Conduct workshops, technical trainings and knowledge transfer sessions for international service engineers,
  • Create work instructions and troubleshooting guides for global service teams.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or experienced technician,
  • Experience with KUKA Robots, in automation systems, or troubleshooting mechanical issues in other industries preferred (graduates with strong knowledge also considered),
  • Working proficiency in English,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • High customer orientation and ability to work independently,
  • Team player with excellent communication skills,
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%, short-term trips typically 1–3 days),
  • Project management experience is a strong plus,
  • Strong networking skills and cultural competence for cross-border collaboration,
  • Ability to work in a decentralized setup and integrate smoothly with the Augsburg team.
