As a Cyber Security Analyst (m/f/d) , you are our digital shield in a high‑tech environment between earth and space. You hunt vulnerabilities, think like a hacker, and ensure that our systems and satellite communications run securely at all times. You’ll tackle real cybersecurity challenges, monitor complex infrastructures, and develop innovative protection concepts. Based at one of our sites in Usingen (near Frankfurt am Main), Hamburg , or Munich , you’ll work with cutting‑edge technology, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute your own ideas — for maximum security in a connected world.

Your tasks

• Monitor and analyze networks and systems to detect security incidents
• Plan, install, and maintain cybersecurity solutions (including monitoring and reporting)
• Set up and manage monitoring systems for continuous supervision of security‑relevant events
• Analyze and correlate different log data (e.g., from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS) to identify anomalies and attack patterns
• Contribute to the automation of network and security processes (e.g., with Ansible)
• Conduct security assessments and penetration tests
• Develop and implement security strategies and policies
• Identify and remediate security gaps and vulnerabilities
• Prepare reports and documentation on security incidents and their resolution
• Collaborate with various (international) teams to ensure IT security

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of network security/protocols, Linux, firewalls, and hands‑on experience with cyber defense products (e.g., XDR, SIEM, IDS, IPS, etc.)
• Experience conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and common security tools
• Experience in planning, installing, and maintaining servers, networks, and monitoring systems
• Excellent understanding of Linux and Windows environments
• Familiarity with security standards and policies
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or similar are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
• Hands‑on mentality combined with excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Healthy sense of skepticism paired with natural curiosity
• Language skills required: German – C1, English – C1
