Location(s): Erlangen (Germany) or Kosice (Slovakia). Hybrid (Remote/Office) with potential for up to 60% remote work within Germany and up to 30 days abroad under certain conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to departments to ensure robust cyber defense strategies are integrated into digital solutions, tools and products.
- Identify cybersecurity action areas for secure delivery of digital solutions and ensure implementation of measures aligning with policies, market, customer and economic requirements.
- Serve as the go-to cybersecurity subject matter expert throughout the lifecycle of products and services, from design and development to operation and phase-out.
- Implement state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions across digital services, IT infrastructures, and applications to maintain a high level of security.
- Assist teams in managing vulnerabilities and cybersecurity incidents, evaluate suppliers, and craft clear communications for customers.
- Work closely with corporate functions to align standards, best practices, and benchmarks, and test and introduce security products.
- Manage risks and certification processes and ensure regulatory compliance to uphold the company’s commitment to cybersecurity.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. If no degree, extensive, long-term professional experience and additional qualifications are welcomed.
- Many years of professional experience in security management or cybersecurity; ideally with leadership of complex security projects.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technology, firewalls, and IT architecture; proven ability to create, implement, and operate sophisticated security concepts.
- Experience in introducing and managing Security KPIs.
- Solid understanding of industry standards/regulations (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, BSI C5, SOC II, SecNumCloud).
- Business-fluent English; German is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze dependencies and develop solutions with an international team balancing business needs and technical risks.
- Ability to quickly grasp and master new topics in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
- Strong interpersonal skills, goal orientation, negotiation skills, and assertiveness to drive decisions across disciplines and levels.
