Data & AI Platform Engineer – Agentic AI (Germany)

As a Data & AI Platform Engineer – Agentic AI Engineer, you will develop independent agentic AI solutions on Azure. Implement two-phase agents (primary & stateless sub-agents) and orchestrate RAG workflows with Azure AI Search and Foundry. Ensure performance, security, and compliance.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Design and development of primary/sub-agent systems that use tools and data sources in Azure; use of LangChain/LangGraph or Microsoft Agent Framework for orchestration

• Implementation of reflection and planning patterns and ReAct approaches to improve agent performance and self-correction

• Integration of enterprise knowledge using Azure AI Search (RAG) and connection of additional services via Azure connectors in AI Foundry

• Implementation of guardrails for responsible AI (content filtering, data access, auditing) with Azure security features

• Performance monitoring (observability) and optimization of agents; collaboration with product and engineering teams

A hybrid/remote setup is possible in Germany (primary residence required)

• 2–5 years of experience in AI development, including at least 1 year with generative AI or agent systems

• Good knowledge of Python; experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Cognitive Services, and Foundry

• Understanding of multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, and prompt engineering

• Strong communication skills, team orientation, and problem-solving skills

• Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
