About The Position

• As a Data Foundation Lead at Deutsche Telekom, you will be at the forefront of leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and innovative solutions.
• This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning models to solve complex business challenges.
• You will utilize your expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and feature engineering, working with large-scale datasets on cutting-edge Big Data technologies such as Spark and Databricks, often within cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Beyond technical implementation, a crucial aspect of this position is your ability to translate complex data insights into compelling narratives through data visualization and storytelling, effectively communicating findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Your strong skills in stakeholder management and project management will ensure successful delivery of data science initiatives from conception to deployment, making a tangible impact on our products and services.

Must‑Have Skills

• Profound knowledge of Machine Learning and its applications
• Expertise in Deep Learning methods and frameworks
• Proficient in Python for Data Science tasks
• Mastery of SQL for data analysis and querying
• Practical experience with Big Data Technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks)
• Experience with common Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ability to create compelling data visualizations and engage in data storytelling
• Skilled in Stakeholder Management and communication
• Solid understanding of Project Management for data projects

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment
• Advanced knowledge in statistical modeling and causal inference
• Experience in designing and analyzing experiments (e.g., A/B testing)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
