YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You build, grow, and lead the Data Science Finance team while staying hands‑on – hiring top talent and fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence by example.
• You partner with Finance to execute ambitious roadmaps – translating business requirements into technical solutions for risk models and other use cases that drive measurable P&L impact.
• You ensure production‑grade model performance and infrastructure – delivering models meeting accuracy thresholds with robust MLOps practices.
• You drive technical architecture and cross‑team coordination – designing systems, guiding best practices, and collaborating with Data Engineering, MLOps, and engineering teams.
• You own operational excellence and team delivery – establishing production support standards, managing on‑call rotation, and maintaining transparent stakeholder communication.

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You have several years managing data science teams with a proven track record in hiring, developing talent, coaching, and resource planning.
• Background You have experience driving data science projects in agile product teams and collaborating closely with POs and business stakeholders; finance domain knowledge is a plus.
• Know‑how You possess solid ML expertise and modern tech stack proficiency with Python, cloud platforms, MLOps tools, and AI‑assisted coding e.g. Cursor, Claude Code.
• Deployment You have real‑world experience deploying large‑scale ML models with a deep understanding of model lifecycle, NFRs, production support, and incident management.
• Hands‑on You have strong collaboration and execution skills – able to build consensus across tech and business stakeholders, balance priorities, and deliver on ambitious timelines.
