As a Data Scientist, you will be central to our mission, developing advanced algorithms and models that turn raw data into actionable insights. Your work will be pivotal in empowering our renowned clients—including DAX30 organizations and Fortune 500 companies—to achieve their strategic objectives.

You’ll work on challenging data-driven problems, developing innovative machine learning models, and deriving insights that directly contribute to the success of our projects. Collaboration is key at NEWNOW—you’ll work closely with our data engineers to optimize data pipelines, ensuring that your models perform at their best. You’ll be part of a dynamic, highly skilled team that includes global C-level executives and top data science and machine learning experts.

We offer the flexibility to work from anywhere within Europe, CET +/- 2 hours, or you can join us at our Frankfurt offices. You’ll have the freedom to manage your working hours and actively contribute to shaping our work culture and principles.

The Role

• You will be responsible for developing and deploying models that turn raw data into actionable insights, helping our clients achieve their net positive goals.
• Design, build, and validate machine learning models and algorithms to analyze large datasets, driving key business decisions.
• Ensure that data is organized, clean, and optimized for advanced analytics and machine learning tasks, working closely with data engineers to maintain seamless data flows.
• Work in tandem with data engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure that supports large-scale data processing and real-time analytics.
• As one of the first employees of the company, you will learn how to quickly scale a start-up business and work directly with the founding team.
• You will co-define the company you want to thrive in, help build key structures required to scale our operations, co-define our data engineering guidelines and principles, and help us bring to life a unique culture and work environment.

What You'll Bring

• Top of your class at a renowned university in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or AI
• Exceptional track record beyond your studies (e.g., sports, social initiatives, entrepreneurial activities).
• Intuition for statistical methods beyond their mere mathematical definitions
• Understanding of statistical methods and implementation of Machine Learning algorithms to solve real-life problems. Terms like cluster analysis, collaborative filtering, and principal component analysis should excite you
• Fluency in Python with a key focus on data manipulation and visualization
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain clean and efficient code.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a high-performance environment like a start-up, preferably in a data engineering role.
• A problem-solving mindset and eagerness to tackle the trickiest challenges.
• Working (occasionally) at our Frankfurt or Berlin Co-Working Space is preferred. Remote work in time zones CET +/- 2h is possible.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (to quarterly retreats or client workshops).
• Fluent in English (Fluency in German is a plus).
