Defense Electrical Design Engineer - Germany

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) a leading company in safety‑critical software for aerospace, defence and transport, is looking for Defense Electrical Design Engineers to join our on‑site teams in Germany.

Locations include Oberkochen, Taufkirchen, Ulm, Inmestaad, Lampoldshausen, Bremen and other sites across the country.

What You Will Do

• Create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics using industry‑standard tools.
• Manage electrical lists (cables, connectors, BOM) within SAP or other ERP systems.
• Provide technical support to assembly lines, harness shops, and prototype construction; act as focal point for demonstration installations and change documentation.
• Develop test scenarios, perform error analysis, and prepare technical documentation for system qualification and approval.
• Coordinate closely with production, work preparation, procurement, and engineering teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant hands‑on experience in electrical design, system integration, or industrial automation; experience in defense, aerospace, or other high‑reliability industries is a strong plus.
• Languages:
  • C1 English Level – mandatory.
  • C1 German Level – will be a plus.
• Applicants must hold citizenship of a European country.
