As a Defense Solutions Manager , you will play a key role in shaping and growing our Defense vertical.
You combine technical understanding with insight into operational realities, guiding projects from concept to prototype and positioning our technology within national and international defense programs.
You also assume commercial responsibility : identifying opportunities, driving proposal processes and collaborating closely with our sales, engineering and application teams.

Build and maintain relationships with military users, authorities and system integrators
Identify key accounts, opportunities, programs, RfIs/RfPs and relevant procurement activities
Represent Cubert at demonstrations, field tests and defense-related events
Technical Solution Development
Analyze mission profiles and derive technical requirements
Define specifications for system integration, adaptation or capability design
Work closely with R&D, application engineering and project teams
Develop and maintain a Defense-specific opportunity pipeline
Lead technical and commercial proposal processes
Prepare bid strategies and support contract negotiations
Provide regular reporting on pipeline and market developments
Lead pilot projects, test campaigns and evaluations
Coordinate all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Handover to the operational team in Ulm for quotation and delivery

Your Qualifications

Background in engineering, sensing, geospatial sciences or security-relevant applications
Understanding of military operational and decision-making structures (e.g., Bundeswehr, NATO, international forces)
Technical degree (engineering, computer science, physics, geoscience etc.)
Experience in project or program leadership
Strong communication skills with both technical and operational stakeholders
Willingness to travel internationally
Nice to have: Experience in EO/IR or hyperspectral imaging, UAV payloads or sensor integration; Familiarity with MIL-STD / STANAG
Existing security clearance (e.g., Secret / NATO Secret)
