Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and adaptable professional to strengthen our planning and forecasting capabilities. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and maintain forecasting models, improve planning processes for greater efficiency and accuracy, and deliver ad‑hoc analyses that support operational and strategic decision‑making. You will serve as a key link between business strategy and operations, ensuring forecasts reflect real business dynamics. Collaboration with core business units—Markets, Supply, Finance, Onsite, and Data—will be a central part of your work.

Responsibilities

Forecasting & Planning

• Enhance and maintain Python-based forecasting models to improve accuracy and scalability.
• Develop robust frameworks for demand and marketing KPI forecasting, including validation and error tracking.
• Streamline planning and forecasting processes to reduce cycle times and increase reliability across long‑term, mid‑term, and monthly planning cycles.

Operational Analytics

• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support daily business performance management and identify optimization opportunities.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for key stakeholders.

Data Engineering & Automation

• Automate recurring reports and workflows using Python and SQL (including dbt modeling).
• Safeguard data integrity and consistency across planning and reporting systems.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Act as an interface between Planning, Marketing, Supply, Markets, and Data teams to ensure alignment between forecasts and business objectives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of experience in forecasting, business planning, or analytics.
• Proven expertise in Python‑based modeling and SQL‑driven data analysis.
• Experience in e‑commerce or a fast‑paced digital environment is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (data manipulation, statistical modeling).
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and cloud‑based data platforms is advantageous.

Analytical & Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support others.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
