Deputy Group Chief Accountant

An established and fast-growing international group is seeking aDeputy Chief Accountant to strengthen its Group Finance function in Munich. This is a senior role with high visibility across multiple European entities and direct involvement in consolidation, IFRS governance, and international projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure quality control and completeness of IFRS monthly and annual financial statements across several European subsidiaries
• Lead subgroup consolidation activities including intercompany reconciliation and capital consolidation
• Analyse and reconcile subgroup financial statements to Group-wide IFRS standards
• Provide technical IFRS guidance (incl. IFRS 3 & IFRS 16) to international accounting teams
• Coordinate and oversee the consolidated financial statement audit
• Further develop Group accounting policies and maintain the IFRS Accounting Manual
• Support M&A transactions and post-merger integration from an accounting perspective
• Drive harmonisation of accounting guidelines and processes across countries
• Act asKey User for LucaNet (advanced consolidation structures, multi-level groups, at-equity consolidation)

Your Profile

• Qualified Accountant , ideally from the Big 4 or similar
• Strong IFRS expertise
• Several years’ experience in Group Accounting within an international environment (corporate or advisory)
• Extensive hands-on experience withLucaNet consolidation systems
• Fluent in German and English
