Design Engineer Electric (m/f/d)
As Design Engineer Electric (m/f/d) you can expect many exciting and challenging tasks with an international context at our Bovenden or Böblingen site.
- Technical design and implementation of design specifications in E-CAD or E-Plan
- Clarification of interfaces with the various departments, as well as technical clarification of design specifications with process engineering, mechanical design, and software design
- Integration of safety specifications into the design
- Developing and creating purchase order proposals
- Preparing and conducting customer training courses
- Creating documentation for further processing in technical documentation
- Clarifying technical issues with process engineering, mechanics, and software, as well as suppliers and customers, partly on site
- Planning and processing switch cabinet construction for external procurement, as well as planning routes and cable paths
- Determining and compiling electrical installation material for on‑site assembly
- Collaborating on the optimization and standardization of design processes

We are a good match if you
- have successfully completed a degree (bachelor's/master's) in electrical engineering/automation/mechatronics or further training as a state‑certified technician,
- have at least 3 years of professional experience,
- have in‑depth knowledge of EPLAN and MS Office as well as in‑depth knowledge of relevant standards and safety regulations (e.g., DIN, IEC).
- Knowledge of North American standards (e.g., UL/CSA) for machine and control cabinet construction is desirable.
- You also have basic SAP skills,
- very good German skills (C1/C2) and advanced English skills (B1/B2),
- willingness to travel,
- appreciation of initiative and independent work,
- strong organizational skills, resilience, and willingness to learn,
- a talent for improvisation and flexibility in responding to new situations,
- and a strong customer‑ and service‑oriented approach to work.
