  • Approach the project, considering client requirements, installation efficiencies, and overall delivery impact.
  • Produce base “spots and dots” design layouts.
  • Conduct detailed ironmongery reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with other architectural engineering teams, such as Telecoms, to gather and clarify cross‑discipline requirements.
  • Proactively drive the project forward by defining information needs, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Work closely with the BIM manager/lead to align on backgrounds, layouts, cable measurements, duct routing, and other model‑related details.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all security‑related queries.
  • Interpret and adapt to evolving client documentation and design direction.
  • Ensure local regulatory and project‑specific requirements are incorporated into the design.
  • Perform design validation and drawing reviews, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of design matrices and other key technical design components.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Security Project Engineer in a Data Centre setting.
  • Familiarity with CAD is a plus, and experience with Revit would be ideal.
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent technical skills and a knack for solving problems.
  • You should be able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high standards, with careful attention to detail.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.
