What you’ll do

As a Development Expert (f/m/d) in our Last Mile Distribution (LMD) team, you’ll be part of an experienced and knowledgeable group that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. We’re excited to welcome new colleagues and support them in becoming successful contributors to our mission.

Your responsibilities will span the full development lifecycle—from refining user stories and designing new functionalities to writing and reviewing code, testing, and supporting our consultants and customers. You’ll work on a solution deeply integrated with Transport Management, S/4HANA, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), which presents both technical challenges and rewarding opportunities.

The existing project is built using ABAP, RAP, Fiori Elements, and you’ll be enhancing it to meet evolving customer needs. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.

What You Bring (maximum Character Count 750)

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid technical base.
• Strong UI, Fiori Elements, JavaScript knowledge, or high motivation to learn and master these technologies.
• Proven track record as a full-stack developer with many years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong ability to analyse, design, and implement on S/4HANA Private Cloud stack.
• Excellent mentoring and coaching skills, with a collaborative mindset. You’re a team player who inspires and motivates others through clear communication and technical guidance.
• A target-oriented mindset that balances technical depth with business priorities, always keeping customer impact in focus.
• Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with a hands-on approach to engineering excellence.
• Structured working style, with the ability to organize their own work and structure work for others.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest industry trends and good practices.

About SAP Customer Industries: The Consumer Industries Product & Engineering unit builds, deploys, and operates private and public cloud solutions across SAP’s consumer products, fashion, retail, and wholesale portfolios, with emphasis on security, quality, resiliency, and availability.

About the Last Mile Distribution (Private Cloud) team: LMD represents the crucial final phase in the delivery journey, moving goods from a distribution center to the end customer. Our solution empowers mid and large-scale bottlers and distributors (beverage and food) by streamlining scheduling, transportation, delivery, inventory management, and billing. We’re collaborating with The Coca Cola Company and several bottling partners.
