DevOps Infrastructure Engineer (German Speaker)

For my customer in Berlin, I am looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

The role requires fluency in German and English.

The role requires 1-3 days onsite in Berlin per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud-based such as AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using observability tools
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application deployment and performance
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Kubernetes (cluster management, networking, security, scaling)
• Hands‑on experience with containerization tools like Docker
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPCs)
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Experience with Linux systems administration
