Optometry / clinical vision science: Deep understanding of eye anatomy, refraction, centration principals and clinical standards as well as practical experience as optometrist or optician.
Technical product development: Experience collaborating with software engineers and hardware designers to translate clinical requirements into digital solutions. Ability to assess measurement techniques and their limitations.
Business & Strategic Acumen: Capacity to evaluate commercial viability, align product specifications with D2C market demands.
Project Management: Skilled in leading cross-functional projects, including managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
Regulatory/Quality Awareness: Ability to understand optical device safety, privacy, data protection requirements and regulatory standards.
Communication: Effectively communicate clinical and technical concepts across diverse teams and stakeholders
Consumer Experience Focus: Understanding best practices for online customer education, self-testing UI/UX, and post-purchase support
Innovation Mindset: Proactivity in identifying new measurement methodologies and scouting global trends in remote ophthalmology.
Data Analytics: Know-how in analyzing and interpreting measurement accuracy, system performance, and user data to improve online testing algorithms
Accountability and ownership: High degree of accountability and ownership – able to own topics end-to-end, make decisions within scope, and deliver results independently in a dynamic environment
