Director – AI & Technology Advisory at Interpath, located in Munich with flexibility across DACH / Europe. Interpath launched its German business in January 2025 and continues to build a strong presence across the DACH region. This role offers the opportunity to play a key delivery and leadership role within our growing AI & Technology Value Creation capability.

The Role

As a Director – AI & Technology Value Creation , you will lead and deliver AI-, digital-, and technology-focused engagements for Private Equity investors and their portfolio companies. You will work closely with Managing Directors and Partners, taking ownership of complex workstreams across transactions and value creation programs, while remaining hands-on in analysis, design, and execution.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, translate AI and technology topics into clear business implications, and help drive measurable growth and efficiency outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AI, digital, and technology workstreams across the investment lifecycle, including pre- and post-deal engagements
• Deliver AI and technology due diligence , assessing value drivers, risks, scalability, and execution complexity
• Design AI-enabled value creation initiatives , translating product, platform, data, and AI capabilities into tangible growth and EBITDA impact
• Develop AI-driven “where-to-play / how-to-win” concepts , including AI product roadmaps, automation levers, and build-vs-buy considerations
• Support portfolio companies during the execution and scaling of AI and digital initiatives, including operating model and governance design
• Work closely with Deals teams on vendor due diligence, vendor assist, and tech-enabled equity stories
• Prepare and present clear, decision-ready insights to PE investors, Boards, and senior management
• Support business development activities, including proposal development, pitch preparation, and client relationship building
• Coach and develop junior team members, contributing to a high-quality delivery culture

• Proven experience at a leading advisory firm, strategy consultancy, Big 4, or in a technology- or PE-backed business
• Strong track record delivering AI-, digital-, and technology-focused advisory projects , ideally in transaction or value creation contexts
• Solid understanding of AI, data, digital platforms, and software-driven business models , with the ability to link technology to business value
• Experience supporting Private Equity investors and/or portfolio companies across due diligence, value creation, or transformation initiatives
• Ability to structure complex problems and translate technical topics into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
• Experience leading project teams and managing day-to-day client interactions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent business-level German to C1 level is essential combined with fluent English
• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements
