What's it all about?

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team creates and delivers products to Visa clients and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products. Our team provides an opportunity for Visa to diversify its revenue with differentiated products and solutions that deepen customer relationships and deliver innovative solutions across other networks. We are fueled by a diverse team of talented team‑members who continuously raise the bar on delivering best‑in‑class products and services to people all over the world.

This position reports to the Head of Visa Commercial Solutions, Central Europe. It is a unique opportunity to expand sales outside core Visa offerings in the fast‑moving world of payments.

The role focuses on growing the FinTech and ISV payment business in the Central Europe cluster (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Netherlands), based out of our Frankfurt or Berlin office. The aim is to expand Visa business in the FinTech and ISV area by winning new B2B Payments portfolios across several industry verticals and developing self‑generated opportunities where Visa has no existing footprint.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Lead prospecting and new customer acquisition strategies beyond existing Visa relationships in core consumer business and build relationships with new stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Account Executive to coordinate opportunities with the overall customer success plan/account plan.
  • Research customers and market trends to identify potential new clients and opportunities, introduce innovative solutions, and position Visa as a market leader.
  • Assess deal potential after identifying new opportunities based on strong Visa product/solution knowledge, and maintain cross‑functional relationships to pull in specialists/engineers where needed to drive deals forward.
  • Anticipate and uncover hidden client needs, giving them confidence that Visa can address their needs and jointly achieve their business objectives.
  • Lead with a client‑first sales mindset and create custom, differentiated solutions that grow Visa and clients’ business.
  • Maintain awareness of deal margins when negotiating and effectively sell and negotiate based on value to close deals quickly and effectively.
  • Leverage internal (Legal, Finance, Risk & Compliance, Marketing) and external partnerships to bring the best of Visa to clients.
  • Coordinate and own the local VCS sales strategy and pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are recorded and updated in CRM systems.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Senior‑level B2B sales experience, particularly in digital products or solutions.
  • Experience selling to FinTech customers, such as FinTech, bank, ERP or procurement system provider, acquirer or acquiring gateway, consultancy, or card network.

Knowledge Focus Areas

  • Deep knowledge of the various sales cycles and stages.

Skills / Competencies

  • Effectively lead new customer acquisition activities and manage them throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Work collaboratively across internal Visa functions to build a Visa network, solve complex problems, and serve as the face of Visa to external partners.
  • Bring passion for and interest in Payments, FinTech, and industry area with client‑relationship building skills, presence, and knowledge of industry area strategies and priorities. Be proactive, resilient, and able to execute ambitious goals/quota.
  • Fluent at a business level in both German and English.
