As we shift execution and budgets to regional hubs, the Director Global Media Strategy & Innovation becomes the single most important strategic and enabling function to drive media consistency, innovation, and performance across all markets. This role maintains our ability to lead in media thinking while empowering local execution. The Director Global Media Strategy & Innovation defines how we lead in media thinking and empower our regional teams. You’ll shape frameworks, partnerships, and innovation programs that set global standards and drive measurable impact across all markets.
Responsibilities
- Set the global media vision for essence and Catrice across brand and performance channels
- Develop best-in‑class frameworks, channel strategies, and activation playbooks
- Own global SEA/SEO and expand into retail media and commerce data partnerships
- Act as global lead for our media agency (Jellyfish)
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap, and Pinterest
- Drive structured testing across paid social, retail media, and emerging formats
- Integrate creator‑led media into our Global Media Operating System
Capability Development
- Coach and align regional media teams, driving shared learning and excellence
Data, Measurement & ROI Frameworks
- Define global KPI and ROI standards, develop dashboards and scalable insights
AI in Media
- Champion the use of AI across targeting, creative, and measurement for performance optimization
Candidate profile
You are a visionary media leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity, data, and technology. You combine strategic excellence with a hands‑on mindset and the ability to inspire and align global teams around a shared vision.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in senior media or digital strategy roles, ideally with international or global scope
- Strong expertise in digital media, performance marketing, platform strategies, and cross‑channel integration
- Deep understanding of the evolving media landscape – from retail media and creator economy to AI‑driven optimization
- Leadership through influence: you inspire, coach, and connect rather than command. You build alignment across functions and geographies
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clarity
- Strategic vision with entrepreneurial drive – you think big, act decisively, and love to turn ideas into tangible impact
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
