We are looking for a Director ESG Accounting, Reporting and Controlling based in Bonn, Germany .

How will you contribute to the success of DHL? Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting is critical to an organization like DHL Express. This role will support our Global ESG Accounting, Controlling and Reporting team in Bonn and make a significant contribution to DHL’s sustainability journey.

• Monitor monthly emission reporting on an organisational level and ensure overall sustainability data quality assurance, including regional data quality checks.
• Prepare standard internal reporting, ESG deck and EMS input.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analysis for Express BPM and other internal requests.
• Lead the full development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency of ESG reporting without compromising quality.
• Coordinate and monitor annual ESG audit activities at the divisional level, prepare and present at audit meetings, and be accountable for implementing improvements identified from global related topics.
• Ensure adherence to ESG controls according to the implemented control framework; support project management and system implementations as required.
• ESG forecasting and planning, including monthly forecasting and supporting ESG planning in line with corporate requirements.
• Prepare and update risk reporting for ESG‑related topics.

• Minimum 5‑7 years total experience across Finance and/or Sustainability fields.
• Knowledge of the reporting systems of DHL Group (CREST; TM1; PBI) is considered but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a big‑picture perspective.
• Pragmatic and result‑oriented; works in a structured and accurate manner.
• Good understanding of stakeholder and project team management and ability to work effectively across a global, multicultural, cross‑functional environment.
• Integrity and loyalty; able to work autonomously, prioritise and organise tasks under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team environment and mentor junior colleagues.
• Strong communication – written, oral and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English; fluent German is an advantage.
