What is the opportunity?

To manage the CFO function in Frankfurt for RBC CM (Europe) GMBH. This role requires an experienced financial leader to oversee the CFO function for RBC Capital Markets (Europe) GmbH in Frankfurt. You will be critical in ensuring the integrity of financial operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making for the RBC European Group (RBCEG). The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, control frameworks, regulatory interactions, and team leadership while driving excellence in financial governance.

What will you do?

• Day to day management of the RBCEG Finance team
• Manage the delivery of timely and accurate Financial Reporting to management and the regulator
• Maintain and support the Financial Reporting Control Framework in Germany
• Correspond with the regulator on Financial Control and Reporting issues where appropriate
• Manage and motivate the local Finance team
• Support RBCEG legal entity control function to ensure books and records are maintained in accordance with relevant rules and regulations
• Responsible for understanding local regulatory reporting requirements
• Provide assurance of integrity of Balance Sheet and PL
• Provide meaningful financial information to the Business to facilitate decision making process.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• German and English speaker
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Significant Financial Control and accounting experience
• Financial Services experience
• Strong academic background
• Regulatory Reporting experience.

Nice-to-have

• Qualified Accountant.
