Director Global Product Management, ABL800 (f/m(d)

The Director Global Product Management, ABL800 is responsible for the end-to-end strategy and global product management of the ABL800 portfolio. This includes driving day‑to‑day product decision‑making and execution, new product ideation, launches, on‑market growth initiatives, and lifecycle management. The role will be accountable for driving the portfolio’s near‑ and long‑term growth and margin trajectory and will be a critical champion for the associated business both internally and externally. This position reports to the Senior Director Global Product & Portfolio Management and is part of the Acute Care Dx Team located in Copenhagen. The role is ideally based in Copenhagen, Denmark, or remote in Germany with regular presence at the headquarters.

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the development and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for the ABL800 portfolio, aligned with corporate strategy and unmet customer needs across key care settings and disease clusters.
• Develop the clinical, customer, and competitive positioning and messaging for the ABL800 portfolio and drive it through the organization.
• Proactively engage with customers, sales teams, and frontline associates to bring voice of customer and voice of associates into strategic planning and concept development.

Global Product Management

• Define and implement standard work for global product and portfolio management.
• Elevate global product management to effectively integrate assay, software and instrument considerations into full solution management, and to effectively manage product needs and initiatives globally.
• Manage the product lifecycle to improve growth & profitability, including geographic expansion, registration continuity, product & supply reliability and end‑of‑life, and improve product profitability by influencing price realization, product‑related operations and product‑related offerings for our ABL800 portfolio.

Cross-functional and team leadership

• Partner with cross‑functional teams (R&D, PMO, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Commercial, RA/QA, others) to align innovation strategies and translate prioritized opportunities into actionable target product profiles and development plans.
• Collaborate with the Market & Business Intelligence team to inform product and portfolio adjustments and strategic pivots.

The essential requirements of the job include

• Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field (MBA, PhD, or MD preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare product and portfolio management, with a proven track record of developing and successfully executing strategic roadmaps.
• Prior exposure to IVD products and markets preferred.
• Mastery in spoken and written English. Fluency in other languages is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to senior leadership.
• Highly organized, structured thinker with a process‑oriented approach to product management.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and able to drive clarity and action in matrixed environments.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• 25% travel, including international travel as required.
