The Team

Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) is one of A&M's core competencies, advising clients in improving profitability and leading them out of strategic and operational crises sustainably. As part of CTS, you support clients in various industries, e.g., Consumer and Retail, from upper‑medium‑sized businesses to international corporations.

A&M’s Consumer and Retail Group (CRG) helps improve operating results, drive large‑scale transformations, and assist during M&A/carve‑out activities. Our professionals within CRG promote deep functional skills to maximize the ability to tailor solutions to solve clients' business issues.

CRG engagements range from holistic cross‑functional transformations, functional performance improvement, interim management, and M&A assistance, with a clear focus on quickly identifying high‑impact opportunities for EBITDA expansion and shareholder/value creation.

How you will contribute

As a Director (m/f/d) – Fashion, Sporting Goods & Luxury, you will take an active, hands‑on role in driving transformation and performance improvement projects within the Consumer and Retail Group. Supported by our European CTS team, you will:

Deliver international transformation, turnaround and performance improvement projects from initial assessment to full execution, with a strong presence to ensure effective implementation
Partner with client leadership (CEOs, Boards, and management teams) to define priorities and drive company‑wide efficiency enhancements
Translate strategy into actionable, results‑oriented solutions, ensuring that recommendations are pragmatic and achievable
Drive top‑ and bottom‑line impact, addressing critical business challenges and delivering sustainable results
Contribute to thought leadership and the development of the practice by raising the profile and reputation of CRG with clients and internally across other teams

Qualifications

Excellent university degree and well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills
10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a global top‑tier consulting firm and leadership role in corporate settings
Proven track record in leading transformation and performance improvement initiatives within Fashion, Luxury, Sportswear & Athleisure, or related fields of the Consumer and Retail industry
Goal‑oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving results, charismatic personality
Collaborative, confident working style, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Clear ability to deliver the latest thinking within a highly competitive advisory marketplace
Trusted advisor with a hands‑on mindset, able to build credibility quickly and operate effectively across senior client stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and diverse cultural environments
Native or business fluent in German and English, proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable
