The Team

Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) is one of A&M’s core competencies, advising clients on improving profitability and navigating strategic and operational crises sustainably. CTS focuses on restoring short‑term financial and operational performance. As part of the CTS team, you will support clients in various industries, especially within Consumer and Retail, from upper medium‑sized businesses to international corporations.

A&M’s Consumer and Retail Group (CRG) improves operating results, drives large‑scale transformations, and assists M&A/carve‑out activities by applying a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value. CRG engagements span holistic cross‑functional transformations, functional performance improvement, interim management, and M&A assistance, always aiming to identify high‑impact opportunities for EBITDA expansion and value creation.

How you will contribute

As a Director (m/f/d) – Fashion, Sporting Goods & Luxury you will take an active, hands‑on role in driving transformation and performance improvement projects within the Consumer and Retail Group, supported by our European CTS team:

• Deliver international transformation, turnaround and performance improvement projects from initial assessment to full execution, maintaining strong implementation oversight.
• Partner with client leadership (CEOs, Boards, and management teams) to define priorities and drive company‑wide efficiency enhancements.
• Translate strategy into actionable, results‑oriented solutions, ensuring recommendations are pragmatic and achievable.
• Drive top‑ and bottom‑line impact by addressing critical business challenges and delivering sustainable results.
• Contribute to thought leadership and practice development by raising the profile and reputation of CRG with clients and across A&M teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent university degree and well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a global top‑tier consulting firm and a leadership role in corporate settings.
• Proven track record in leading transformation and performance improvement initiatives within Fashion, Luxury, Sportswear & Athleisure, or related fields of the Consumer and Retail industry.
• Goal‑oriented mindset with a focus on achieving results and a charismatic personality.
• Collaborative, confident working style combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clear ability to deliver the latest thinking within a highly competitive advisory marketplace.
• Trusted advisor with a hands‑on mindset, able to build credibility quickly and operate effectively across senior client stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and diverse cultural environments.
• Native or business fluent in German and English; proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
