Director of Client Solution Delivery (interim)

As Interim Director of Solution Delivery
You will take on end-to-end responsibility for the successful development and delivery of customized software solutions. In this role, you will ensure operational continuity, safeguard delivery excellence, and prepare the foundation for a seamless handover to the permanent role.

You will lead a team of 4–5 project managers, oversee the delivery of approximately five projects per month, and serve as the critical link between project execution, stakeholder success, and executive leadership. Acting as a hands-on leader, you will guide your team through a period of transition while preparing the function for sustainable, long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of the delivery of software projects, ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes
Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4–5 project managers during this interim phase
Oversee project reviews, delivery processes, and follow-ups in a structured and hands-on manner
Collaborate closely with development, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and transparency
Support hiring and onboarding efforts to strengthen the team for the future
Prepare and ensure a smooth handover to the incoming permanent Director of Solution Delivery

Qualifications

Proven experience in project or program management within software development / the tech industry
Extremely structured and reliable, with strong work ethic and a deep understanding of quality in project delivery
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and mentor teams during periods of transition
Track record of managing multiple, parallel projects successfully
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executive leadership
Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach
Fluent English; German is a great plus
