Senior Construction Manager / Director for Data Centre Projects

Frankfurt, Germany (Full-Time, On-Site)

German & English Fluent Required

We are supporting a leading European digital infrastructure developer and operator with the appointment of a Senior Construction Manager / Construction Director to lead large-scale data centre developments in Frankfurt.

This organisation finances, designs, builds and operates hyperscale and enterprise data centre campuses across Europe. Due to continued expansion in Germany, they require a senior leader with proven end-to-end construction delivery expertise within mission‑critical environments.

The Role

• You will take full responsibility for the delivery of complex data centre construction projects from early development through to commissioning and handover.
• This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, local authorities and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle project leadership: pre‑construction through to commissioning
• Contractor and supply chain management (GCs, MEP, CSA packages)
• Budget ownership and cost control
• Programme management and risk mitigation
• Quality assurance and compliance with German regulations
• Health & Safety leadership on site
• Stakeholder coordination across engineering, design and operations teams
• Reporting to executive leadership on delivery milestones and performance

Required Experience

• Extensive experience delivering large‑scale data centre projects (hyperscale or enterprise)
• Strong CSA and MEP construction knowledge
• Proven experience managing general contractors and major subcontract packages
• Deep understanding of German construction regulations and permitting processes
• Experience delivering projects within live or mission‑critical environments
• Commercially astute with strong contractual awareness

Profile

• Fluent German and English (essential)
• Strong leadership presence and decision‑making capability
• Able to operate on‑site in Frankfurt on a full‑time basis
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growth, high‑investment environment
• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering or similar discipline
