Responsibilities
- Assist Cencora Corporate Operations and divisions.
- Lead corporate and/or division MHE enhancement projects with evaluations, cost‑saving initiatives, estimates, budget tracking, purchase order management, designs, implementation plans, coding, messaging, vendor support, testing, training, documentation, delivery/deployment for project software, systems, hardware, equipment and project close‑out.
- Establish, document, communicate and deploy MHE solution provider technical configuration standards for project software, systems and hardware.
- Serve as the key system contact for IT, division personnel, project teams and vendor accounts.
- Lead and promote change management processes.
- Assist in developing and managing vendor contracts and negotiations associated with software, systems, hardware and equipment.
- Act as the primary system project lead for division enhancements, software, systems, hardware and equipment implementations, upgrades, including developing cut‑over plans, conversion utilities and test plans.
- Lead maintenance and management of various vendor systems and training environments for the project software, systems and hardware.
- Architect and lead other system solutions as business needs arise.
- Develop tools to improve the management of project software, systems and hardware production, testing, troubleshooting and training systems.
- Assist project teams and managers with implementations, design, functional specifications, leading support teams, training and troubleshooting production issues.
- Coordinate and lead efforts with corporate, IT, WSOs, division personnel and project teams on software, systems, hardware and equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Interact with all levels of personnel, from new associates to executive management and support staff.
- Manage vendor, division and customer questions, complaints and expectations.
- Keep all project and management personnel updated in a timely manner with accurate project and task information.
Requirements
- Training in business, project management, administration, accounting, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar fields through a four‑year bachelor’s degree, technical vocational training or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum 10 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
- Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) solutions.
- Knowledge of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC software suites, logic, syntax, system interfaces, hardware components and networking.
- Strong knowledge of control network protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Serial or Ethernet.
- Strong electrical background with 480 VAC, 120 VAC and 24 VDC experience, and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical installation drawings; prior experience with warehouse material handling and automation systems.
- Experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting business systems preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills, including debugging WMS, MHE, vendor code and messaging.
- Demonstrated testing management and organizational skills.
- Experience with large systems interfacing, design, analysis, coding, messaging and testing.
- Ability to write and review functional and technical specifications.
- Proven ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects from start to finish.
- Lean/Six Sigma skills preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and external vendors.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and associated tools.
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
- Strong decision‑making and customer‑service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
- Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines while managing multiple initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel up to 75 % for short periods.
