The client is seeking a Director with HR/Leadership expertise to join its Board of Directors. The client is an Irish chapter of a global movement focused on preventing corruption and promoting integrity in public life. This role is a volunteer position with a strong emphasis on governance, strategic direction, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with the client's mission and values. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant qualification and proven expertise in human resources, including experience in talent acquisition, employee development, organizational culture, and compensation and benefits, ideally within the non-profit sector. Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and corporate governance principles is essential, alongside strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The primary responsibilities for this role include guiding long-term policy development to align with the client's mission, offering strategic HR guidance to ensure the client attracts and retains a high-performing team, and advising on HR policies, practices, and compliance with employment laws. The Director will support the Board in overseeing employee-related policies and compensation structures, contributing to an inclusive and positive organizational culture, and collaborating with other board members and executive leadership. A commitment to high ethical standards and the ability to foster a culture of transparency and accountability are crucial for this role.
The opportunity provides a platform to play a key role in shaping the clients future through high-level decision-making and oversight.
