Directory Services and M365 IT Engineer

In the IT Infrastructure and Operations department, we are looking for an IT Directory Service Engineer (m/f/d) – responsible for the management, security, system integration and performance of directory services in the Microsoft and M365 environment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Management & Integration

• Responsibility for the administration of directory services (MS Active Directory, Entra ID, OAuth, LDAP) and their integration into other IT systems and applications.

Security & Compliance

• Development and implementation of policies for user accounts and access controls.
• Ensuring compliance with IT security standards and regulatory requirements.

Performance & Optimisation

• Monitoring and optimising the scalability, efficiency and performance of the directory services.
• Identifying and implementing process and tool improvements.

Continuity & Recovery

• Establishment and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Communication with stakeholders and coordination with cross‑functional teams (network, security, cloud, applications).
• Consolidation and reporting of performance KPIs.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science/IT.
• Certifications in Active Directory and cloud administration.
• Fluent in German and English (at least B2, preferably C1).
• Proven expertise in MS Active Directory and Azure Entra ID.
• Experience with Microsoft Modern Workplace (Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, CoPilot).
• Knowledge in automation/integration (Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiar with frameworks and standards (NIST, TOGAF, PRINCE2, AGILE).
• Strong communication skills, innovation, and stakeholder management.
