Distribution Business Development Manager

This role is responsible for supporting and expanding the distribution business across Europe, with primary focus on Germany and the Benelux region (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg). Germany represents the highest priority market.

The position supports distribution partners rather than direct OEM engagement and covers a diverse set of markets beyond traditional industrial applications, including consumer electronics, broad electronics, and other diversified segments.

Distribution represents approximately 60% of total business, making this a strategically important role as leadership continues to view distribution as a primary growth engine rather than a secondary sales channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and grow relationships with key distribution partners across Europe.
  • Deliver technical and commercial training to distributor sales and engineering teams.
  • Follow up on active design opportunities and help accelerate design wins through the distribution channel.
  • Initiate and support new sales campaigns, product launches, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal product, sales, and marketing teams to strengthen distribution engagement and increase market penetration.
  • Participate in customer events, partner meetings, and industry engagements to promote solutions and strengthen relationships.
  • Travel approximately 50% across Europe, primarily within Germany and the Benelux region.

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Background in electronics, connectors, interconnect solutions, or related industries.
  • Ideal candidates may come from:
  • Electronic distributors such as Arrow, Avnet, Digi-Key, Mouser, Farnell, or RS.
  • Connector, interconnect, or electronic component manufacturers.
  • Roles in Application Engineering, Field Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or Business Development.

This role does not require extensive distribution leadership experience. The focus is on identifying early- to mid-career professionals with strong growth potential and technical capability.

Target candidate profile typically includes professionals in the early to mid-stages of their career (approximately 25–30 years old, flexible) who demonstrate strong ambition, curiosity, and the ability to grow within the organization.
