EASA B1/B2 Licensed Engineers – King Air 100/200/300

Location: Germany

  • Permanent OR Contract positions available

Volantes Technical Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established, EASA Part‑145 approved operator and MRO based in Bremen, Germany, to recruit experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers across the Beechcraft King Air 100, 200 and 300 Series.

Our client is expanding its certifying staff base to support fleet growth, line and base maintenance activity, and special‑mission operations across Northern Europe. With a strong reputation for quality, technical depth and stability, this is an excellent opportunity for engineers who want to work on a respected turboprop platform within a professional, well‑resourced team.

The hiring manager has indicated 2–3 immediate vacancies, with extensive King Air 300 type knowledge being essential. Permanent staff positions are preferred, but contract arrangements will also be considered for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the operator's MOE, AMP and applicable EASA Part‑145 procedures.
  • Performing phase, calendar and hours‑based inspections on King Air airframe and systems.
  • Diagnostic, troubleshooting and rectification work on airframe, powerplant (PT6A), avionics and aircraft systems as appropriate to your licence category.
  • Issuing Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within the scope of your authorisation.
  • Supporting AOG response, both in‑hangar and on occasional away‑base recovery.
  • Accurate completion of all maintenance documentation, work packs and technical log entries.
  • Liaising with CAMO, stores, planning and quality functions to ensure airworthiness compliance.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and mechanics where appropriate.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid EASA Part‑66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in Category B1 or B2.
  • Beechcraft King Air 300 type rating endorsed on licence (or recent and demonstrable currency on type).
  • Minimum 3 years of recent hands‑on maintenance experience on King Air 100, 200 and/or 300 Series aircraft.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the PT6A‑series powerplants fitted to the King Air 100/200/300 family.
  • Strong understanding of EASA Part‑145, Part‑M / Part‑CAMO and Part‑66 regulatory requirements.
  • Comfortable working with aircraft technical publications, AMM, IPC, SRM, MEL and wiring diagrams.
  • Right to live and work in the EU, or willingness/eligibility to obtain the necessary work permit for Germany.
  • Good written and spoken English (working language of the technical environment). German language skills are an advantage but not essential.

Desirable

  • Additional King Air type ratings (90 Series, 350 Series, 350i / 360).
  • Experience with air ambulance, special mission, calibration or government/parapublic operations.
  • Avionics retrofit experience (Garmin G1000 / G1000 NXi, Collins Pro Line 21 / Fusion).
  • Borescope, NDT Level 1/2, structures or sheet metal qualifications.
  • Previous certifying authorisations issued under a Part‑145 organisation.
  • Experience working in a mixed fleet operator/MRO environment.

What's On Offer

  • Permanent staff position with a respected German Part‑145 organisation, OR competitive contract day rates depending on candidate preference and circumstances.
  • Stable, technically rich working environment with a recognised aviation employer in Bremen.
  • Genuine variety of work across line and base maintenance on a well‑supported turboprop type.
  • Structured continuation training, type course funding (where applicable) and licence development support.
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
  • Modern hangar facilities and a collaborative, safety‑led engineering culture.
