A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Electrical Systems Engineer (f/m/d), you play a leading role in driving technical activities within the electrical power group. This position is pivotal to the advancement of the innovation pipeline, with a strong focus on the development, enhancement, and maturation of advanced electrical systems and technologies.

The role is structured around three core pillars: technology development, system prototyping and validation, and technical leadership. Together, these dimensions provide a holistic framework that spans the full lifecycle of innovation—from early‑stage concept development and strategic alignment through to hands‑on system testing and close collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the design and development of novel electrical systems, components, and technologies from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Establish and refine operational plans and design methodologies for the electrical engineering domain to meet scientific standards and project goals.
  • Oversee the creation and testing of advanced prototypes for new electrical systems to validate design concepts and performance characteristics.
  • Design and execute complex experiments, analyzing results to ensure compliance with internal quality, safety, and external regulatory standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in electrical systems, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts, project status, and outcomes effectively to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Extensive professional experience in technical product development, with a proven track record of leading complex engineering projects.
  • Recognized expertise in electrical systems design, simulation, and validation within an R&D or innovation‑focused environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; German at C1 level is appreciated.

Benefits

  • Attractive remuneration package in line with the market, including employer‑financed company pension scheme.
  • Opportunity to become a Siemens Energy shareholder.
  • Flexible and remote working options; inspiring offices that foster collaboration and creativity.
  • Professional and personal development opportunities, including various programmes and learning materials.
  • Family‑work compatibility offers such as flexible working time models, childcare places at many locations, trial part‑time work, or sabbatical leave.

We value equal opportunities and welcome applications from people with disabilities.
