Electricity Supply: Regulation & Operation Analyst (Germany)

We are looking for a sharp and detail-oriented Regulation & Operation Analyst to support our German team with regulatory compliance, market reporting, and operational data processes across DSOs, TSOs, and German market operators. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the German energy market and wants to work in a fast-moving, data-heavy, and tech-empowered environment.

Key Responsibilities •

Support preparation and submission of required reports to German DSOs, TSOs, Bundesnetzagentur, and other relevant industry bodies •

Assist with compliance activities for supplier obligations including BNetzA directives, StromStG filings, and settlement processes (MaBiS, GPKE, WiM, etc.) •

Monitor regulatory updates, maintain internal tracking systems, and ensure that operational processes remain compliant with evolving German energy law •

Help manage data accuracy across market systems and internal platforms - including handling of EDIFACT messages and AS4 protocol •

Follow up on customer registrations, switching processes, and metering data alignment •

Work cross-functionally with tech, operations, and product teams to align digital workflows with German market rules and compliance timelines •

Contribute to internal automation of regulatory tasks using modern, AI-friendly tools •

Help document operational and compliance procedures for audit readiness and internal knowledge sharing

Requirements •

More than 5 years of experience in a German electricity supplier, market operator, or compliance consultancy •

Familiarity with German market rules and regulatory bodies (e.g., Bundesnetzagentur, DSOs, TSOs, Marktstammdatenregister) •

Understanding of industry-standard data processes and file formats (EDIFACT messages, MaKo, MaBiS, GPKE, WiM, AS4 protocol) •

Familiarity with operation of EDM systems (MaBiS, GPKE, WiM, BKV) •

Proficient with Excel; exposure to digital reporting systems (Power BI, SQL, or similar) is a plus •

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and clear written communication •

Comfortable working with cloud platforms, CRM systems, and automation tools •

Friendly with tech and AI systems - essential in our fully digital environment •

Self-organised, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced, international team
