Electro-Optics Researcher – Doctoral Candidate

Job Description

As a doctoral candidate in the EU project SiCPiC, you will be working on investigating the CVD and CS-PVT processes for their use in new photonic applications of SiC. This involves fabricating SiC layers, preparing surfaces, and performing electrical-optical characterisation. You will have the opportunity to work with ML and AI assisted methods to support experiment planning and analysis.

Your tasks as a doctoral candidate include:

• Metrology on a wafer level (electrical/optical characterization)

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team collaborating together beyond your own research focus. The position offers participation in the international EU project SiCPiC with mandatory short stays abroad for specialist meetings and research activities.
