About the Role
As an Automotive Electronics Systems Expert, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced electronic systems for automotive applications. Your expertise in electronics engineering, embedded systems, and automotive technology will be instrumental in delivering high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure the successful implementation of cutting-edge automotive features.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic systems for automotive applications, including ECUs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
- Perform system-level analysis, simulation, and modeling to evaluate system performance and identify potential issues.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, design documents, and test plans to guide the development process.
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems with embedded software.
- Conduct prototype testing and validation, and work with the QA team to resolve defects and optimize system performance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive electronics technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Acting as the E/E system technical interface between internal / external customer, need to discuss and clarify technical requirements and transfer customer requirements to AEW E/E system requirements.
- Familiar with US / European OEM and Tier1 customer E/E requirements, have good relationship with US / European customer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in automotive electronics system design and development.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, embedded systems, and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in electronics system integration and verification.
- Experience with automotive standards and regulations, including ISO 26262 for functional safety.
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes (ASPICE), including Agile methodologies and V-model. Familiar with Polarion, Doors or other requirements tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A passion for automotive technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality electronic systems.
- Experience with automotive seating comfort system, BCM, or chassis systems.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics (e.g., UDS, OBD-II) and calibration tools.
- Knowledge of automotive network management and cyber security practices.
- Experience with automotive simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Experience with AUTOSAR or other automotive software frameworks.
