Job Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. The Technician will work full‑time at the Google sites in Munich, Germany, providing break‑fix support, preventative maintenance, small works installations, site surveys, and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform break‑fix activities, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting across installed systems and equipment.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with schedules and site requirements.
  • Deliver small works projects, including minor installations, modifications, and system upgrades.
  • Conduct site surveys for upcoming small works and provide technical input for accurate scope development.
  • Install containment, cabling, enclosures, and panels in accordance with industry and site standards.
  • Terminate, test, and commission electronic devices.
  • Configure hardware and software components as required and support system testing and validation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of works completed, test results, and maintenance records.
  • Track and manage tools, materials, and inventory, including inspections and ordering.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure installations meet quality control standards.
  • Ensure all works are completed within agreed timeframes and meet project and operational expectations.
  • Support other team members on site, collaborating effectively to ensure successful delivery of tasks and projects.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with project teams, stakeholders, and client representatives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to site‑specific safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and enforce company health and safety policies.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Complete incident and accident reporting as required.
  • Ensure all activities comply with established Quality Control (QC) procedures and documentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician or Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • Three additional years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
  • Six or more years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience on multiple systems and customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (a plus).
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch, BVMS, AIphone Intercom, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows).
  • Three years experience focused in electronic security systems.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Abilities & Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights up to 60 feet, and using ladders and scaffolds as needed.
  • Performing routine lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching tasks while following proper lifting techniques.
  • Good vision (corrected allowed), color vision, hearing, and effective communication in English.
