EMEA Transportation & Customs Manager

• Lead the design and implementation of optimized logistics networks , balancing inbound / outbound flows and stock consolidation to improve lead times and reduce costs.
• Manage tendering processes for sea, air, and road freight , selecting and negotiating with carriers and suppliers to secure the best service and rates.
• Develop and maintain effective routing , transportation plans, and distribution strategies to ensure On-Time Delivery.
• Lead customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with regional regulations while minimizing delays and costs. Lead on changes in trade policies and adjust strategies as needed for cost-effectiveness, speed, and compliance.
• Monitor and analyse logistics spend , identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process efficiencies, and service improvements.
• Drive initiatives in digitalization and automation of logistics and customs operations, enhancing data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Lead on Logistics costs during RFQs in collaboration with Plants SCMs & KAMs.
• Identify and evaluate logistics and customs risks and develop contingency plans .
• Design dashboards using data analysis to anticipate demand variations & adjust to serve in lean ways.

Your profile.

• Master’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a comparable field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in international logistics and customs.
• Deep knowledge of international logistics (road, sea, air)
• Advanced understanding of customs regulations, clearance procedures, and trade agreements (EUR.1, incoterms, duties, etc.)
• Background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and process standardization.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, TMS/WMS solutions, and performance reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive optimization and digitalization initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
• Valid work permit for the EU or Serbia.
• Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Readiness to travel min. 40% of time.
