About the university

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is looking to fill the following position in its Central IT Services and Applications department as soon as possible on a permanent basis:

Employee for the ECM/DMS project (50%)

Your tasks

• Software development and software administration with the following aspects:
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of the software solutions used
  • Development and further development of new and existing software solutions
  • Script creation and automation
  • Programming and integration of interfaces
  • Versioning and code management
• Error analysis and ensuring functionality, as well as further development of the software used
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Consulting, training, and support for users as 2nd level support

Your profile

• Completed university degree, preferably in computer science, business informatics, software development, or comparable (bachelor's or FH diploma), or IT specialist for application development with three years of professional experience.
• Very good knowledge of the administration and configuration of software solutions in SaaS and on-premise operation.
• In-depth experience and knowledge in the operation of software for large organizations
• In-depth knowledge of database systems and API development, as well as in-depth programming experience (e.g., with C#, Java, Python, YAML)
• Understanding of software architectures and system integration in complex organizations
• Knowledge of university administrative processes is an advantage.
• Ability to independently familiarize yourself with complex issues and identify new areas of responsibility from the user's perspective.
• At least good German language skills (minimum B2) and good written and spoken English skills (comparable to B2 level)
• Very good organizational and communication skills (enjoy communicating with users)
• High level of social competence
• High level of motivation, initiative, and commitment
• Independent, structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong customer and service-oriented behavior
• Gender and diversity competence are required

Benefits

Remuneration is based on pay scale 12 of the collective agreement for employees of the State of Hesse (TV-H).
