The Federal Chancellery provides comprehensive support to the Federal Chancellor in the performance of his duties. It briefs the Federal Chancellor on current political affairs and the activities of the federal ministries. Division 132 is responsible for the secure operation and continuous development of information and communication technology at the Federal Chancellery. Responsibilities / What to Expect: Supporting the configuration and administration of the Federal Chancellery’s IP-based telecommunications systems and ICT infrastructure Ensuring the secure operation of these systems and adapting them to new network elements from various telecommunications providers Collaborating on the development and planning of concepts to adapt to constantly changing needs and requirements (including the preparation of planning documents, system assessments, and technical opinions on all telecommunications systems and projects) Procurement of system components as needed, as well as their commissioning; programming and conducting functional tests Implementation of emergency measures to ensure telecommunications operations during special events Completed vocational training, preferably as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems (m/f/d), Systems IT Specialist (m/f/d), IT Systems Electronics Technician (m/f/d), or comparable vocational training or comparable experience and skills, demonstrated by several years of professional experience Experience in the installation and configuration of telecommunications systems based on structured cabling and cable management, as well as in the identification and resolution of system malfunctions Experience working with the telecommunications system from the manufacturer “Innovaphone” is a plus A Class B driver’s license is preferred (if a disability prevents the independent operation of a company vehicle, a company vehicle with a driver will be provided, or valid reasons for using a private vehicle will be recognized) Flexibility and willingness to participate in on-call duty and to undertake occasional business trips domestically and abroad German language skills are essential (business fluent – Level C1); English language skills (Level A2) are advantageous, particularly for participation in international meetings or delegations (Competence level specified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Strong teamwork skills, interpersonal skills, and a high sense of responsibility Absolute discretion and willingness to cooperate with an extended security clearance process involving security investigations pursuant to Section 10 of the Security Clearance Act What else you should know: We are convinced that diverse teams can achieve better results.
