Empower LOS Business Analyst

The Empower LOS “Post-Implementation” Business Analyst role requires substantial, in-depth knowledge of the Dark Matters’ Empower LOS (Loan Origination System), including BRD (business requirements documentation), and FDS (functional design specifications) creation and configuration, user acceptance testing (UAT) testing, and a deep end-to-end operational understanding of all technical aspects of the mortgage loan origination lifecycle, business, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Empower business expert for the needs within the Empower Implementation “post-implementation” project and support all processes related to the residential lending system.
• Assist in the implementation, design, redesign if needed, test, and implement system enhancements, and provide technical production support for end users.
• Provide system application support to end-users and effectively troubleshoot system application problems.
• Recommend system configuration changes or coordinate changes, coordinating with DevOps, system analysts, or vendors to correct identified problems.
• Gather information and write business requirements, document and design workflows, and support the residential lending business units, where required.
• Assist with all user and quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)on systems and conduct maintenance testing, where required.
• Assist in developing test scripts to quality control all changes. Interact with software vendors to implement software enhancements, where needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Dark Matter’s Empower LOS "Loan Origination System", both Empower Now and Empower .Net
• 5+ years of experience with Black Knight's "Exchange" tool, Loan Origination "Point of Sale" (POS) systems, Product Pricing Engines (PPE), and systems integrating with vendor systems via APIs.
• Solid understanding of API’s, configuration, and understanding of vendor POS API's and other ancillary “3rd party solution” integrations.
• High-level of IT knowledge with the Empower system, with a systems analyst and developer mindset.
• Must be able to communicate with executive teams, IT teams, PMO teams, etc.
• Extensive knowledge on end-to-end loan origination life-cycle.
