Where banknotes are printed, cash is processed and central bank data is hosted, there is zero room for error. This is where you come in: at Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology you design physical security architectures that set standards worldwide.

Your Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end physical security solutions for banknote printing plants, cash centers, central bank data centers and comparable high-security sites

Plan and specify intrusion detection systems, video and video analytics, access control and PSIM – from first concept to detailed engineering

Prepare technical specifications, functional and interface descriptions and support tenders and technology selection

Steer and challenge security integrators worldwide, review their designs and implementation quality and correct course where needed

Take over (sub-)project management in critical phases

Advise our internal security managers and actively contribute to the further development of our security standards

Your Profile:

Degree in Security & Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a comparable STEM field; alternatively, a relevant technical qualification with matching experience

At least 5 years’ experience in planning or managing demanding security or infrastructure projects, ideally in an international context

Strong expertise in several of the following: intrusion detection, video surveillance/analytics, access control, control room / PSIM solutions

Plus: experience with fire detection systems or the design of fire protection concepts, and with video analytics and security-related AI

Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly, take decisions and confidently coordinate international stakeholders and suppliers

Very good English skills; German is an advantage, willingness to travel internationally

You will work on projects you won’t find "off the shelf", with real impact, room to shape solutions and an expert community around you. Development paths include PSIM architecture, analytics/AI or project leadership.
