Engineer – Spatial Audio Rendering (18-Month Leased Labor)

Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

Audiovisual Technology Lab in Huawei Munich Research Center is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

Engineer – Spatial Audio Rendering (18-Month Leased Labor) (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Contribute in innovative algorithm design (DSP and ML/AI) for different multimedia prototypes (i.e. smart phones, tablets, laptops, speaker arrays, headphones/earphones)
• Create and optimize measurement setups and test procedures to validate algorithm performance
• Fine-tune and parameterize algorithms to achieve optimal audio quality and system efficiency

Your areas of expertise

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing , or related fields.
• Strong theoretical and hands‑on expertise in digital signal processing
• Solid background in ML / AI , including model development and data processing
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++ , or similar
• Passionate about audio and (psycho‑)acoustics
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex tasks
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
