As our Engineering Manager for the Testing Platform, you are the bridge between stable delivery and innovative testing solutions. You lead a team that empowers our engineering squads to ensure the 'tonie-magic' works flawlessly every single time.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Team Development

• Inspire & Grow: Lead and nurture a high-performing engineering team, cultivating a culture of learning, feedback, and psychological safety.

• Transformational Leadership: Guide your team through technical evolutions by creating a clear vision and executing improvements collaboratively with a proactive "can-do" mentality.

Strategy & Execution

• Technical Ownership : Drive the technical execution of our product roadmap, ensuring efficient delivery and continuous optimization.

• Lean Excellence: Champion lean principles and best practices to ensure a stable, reliable, and high-quality testing platform for embedded IoT devices.

• Strategic Alignment: Align engineering efforts with our business goals, product strategy, and customer needs.

Platform & Infrastructure Management

• Framework Design: Build and maintain our multi-domain, cross-functional testing platform, providing a flexible and reliable framework for the entire organization.

• E2E Excellence: Develop an extendable platform that enables seamless end-to-end testing for all customer-facing product features.

• Modern Infrastructure: Oversee the development and maintenance of our testing infrastructure, including cloud mockups, simulators, and physical test setups.

• Empowerment: Enable other teams to maximize their automated system test coverage through easy-to-use tools and guidance.

What we are looking for:

• Experience & Passion: You have been a passionate Test Engineer for many years and are excited to continue growing your skills and those of your team.

• Leadership Mindset: You are experienced in guiding teams through change and feel comfortable anchoring technical decisions within a strategic business context.

• Technical Acumen: You have a solid understanding of embedded IoT development as well as modern software development practices and can anticipate testing challenges before they arise.

• The Toolbox: You are highly proficient in Python, Robot Framework, and GitLab CI/CD.

• Clean Code & Simplicity: You and your team write code that is lean, well-structured, and maintainable. You have a knack for solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.

• Environment: Linux is your preferred environment, and working with Git and GitLab is part of your daily routine.

• Work Style: Your approach is characterized by agility, teamwork, and creativity, especially when exploring new solutions.

• Communication: You are comfortable communicating in both English and German in a professional work environment.

• Hybrid Work: You can imagine supporting your team on-site in Düsseldorf at least 2 times per week.
