Environmental Solutions Project Manager

Position Summary

ES Project Managers are responsible for managing the execution of a broad array of projects for clients or at client sites/facilities. They serve as the primary point of contact to ensure contractual requirements are met and work scopes are completed, validating regulatory compliance. They oversee health and safety for all field projects performed by Republic Services, Inc. and/or subcontractors, review field tasks, develop safety procedures, assess subcontractor training, and manage resources to achieve priorities.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform onsite customer service work including regulatory inspections, participation in plant committees, waste characterization, shipping, profiling, and document preparation for waste streams.
• Work with customers to proactively establish reuse, reduction, recycling and alternate treatment options, and develop and implement subsequent programs.
• Provide data and reporting to customers in a manner consistent with contract or purchase order specifications.
• Offer general guidance for RCRA, DOT, TSCA and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor subcontractor services for completeness or deficiencies.
• Assist in the implementation of technical systems, software, or solutions.
• Provide training and end‑user support.
• Work closely with sales teams to propose compliant customer solutions and identify new opportunities while retaining existing business.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex regulations specific to the environmental waste industry, management principles, and best practices for analysis, evaluation and research.
• Knowledge of current industrial safety practices, industrial hygiene, and hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal operations.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; detail‑oriented and technically adept.
• Ability to work under pressure, exercise independent judgment, and select effective courses of action while controlling resources and expenditures.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.

Additional Requirements

Position requires up to 50% travel.

Compensation

Pay Range: $99,800.00 to $137,300.00* (based on locality).

Bonus Plan: Annual Incentive Plan Target, 15% Annual.
