EPC Project Lead Solar/ BESS

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced BESS / Solar Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects across Germany.

The Role

You will take ownership of Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and Solar PV projects, ensuring successful delivery from construction through to completion—on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full construction lifecycle of BESS and PV projects from site setup to final completion
• Act as the key interface between EPC contractors and project stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and technical requirements
• Coordinate engineering changes and revisions throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee budget control and cash flow managementLiaise with utilities and authorities to ensure grid connection, permitting, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure quality assurance across all subcontractors and construction activities
• Supervise construction to ensure alignment with approved designs and specifications
• Manage relationships with local stakeholders including landowners and contractors
• Oversee logistics and materials management
• Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in project management within the renewable energy sector
• Strong experience in solar PV and/or BESS projects
• Knowledge of grid connection, permitting, and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Electrical certification or licensing (preferred)
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
