European Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Equipment

Overview

The company is a specialized service provider for scientific and laboratory equipment. Their wide range of instruments are used by scientists and researchers in biotech, pharma, academic, CRO, government and other research facilities across Europe. Due to company expansion, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their service department in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on a range of laboratory instruments, including microplate readers, microplate washers, incubators, LC/MS, HPLC, centrifuges, imaging systems, to name a few.
• Promote the customer’s long-term interests by extending the life of their instruments.
• Effectively communicate with customers and account team members to troubleshoot, diagnose, provide repair updates, train end-users, and ensure full resolution of all customer needs.
• Establish fluency in relevant service documentation, including but not limited to preventative maintenance service reports, IQ/OQ documentation, and other service documentation.
• Create and properly maintain customer service logs and documentation.
• Accurately input repair part orders, service records, and time entries.

Requirements

• Preferred: Educated with a scientific or engineering degree.
• Essential: Experience working with laboratory equipment/instruments.
• Comfortable with an average of 75% travel across Europe.
