Banqueting Manager / Director 'aka' Event Operations Manager – Luxury Hospitality Munich, Germany

We are working on behalf of one of Munich’s most prestigious luxury hotels to appoint an experienced Event Operations Manager to lead one of the city’s most dynamic and high-profile banqueting operations.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale operation delivering exceptional events ranging from high-end private functions to internationally recognised conferences and flagship social occasions.

The property features extensive event facilities, multiple dining venues, and a reputation for excellence within the luxury hospitality market.

The Role

You will be responsible for the full operational delivery of the banqueting and events offering, ensuring seamless execution across a wide range of events. Leading and developing a sizeable team, you will drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and commercial performance across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across all event spaces
• Lead, train, and inspire a large events and banqueting team
• Ensure flawless delivery of high-volume, high-profile events
• Work closely with Sales and senior leadership on planning and execution
• Drive service standards in line with luxury hospitality expectations
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and cost control

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in luxury hotel banqueting or event operations
• Strong leadership capability managing large teams
• Commercially aware with strong operational control
• Calm under pressure with exceptional attention to detail
