Expert Application Engineer Consumer Packaging (m / w / d)

Overview

Your tasks

• Consulting and technical support for customers in the field of consumer packaging with a focus on flexible packaging solutions and processes
• Expert guidance in product selection conducting trials qualification processes as well as error analysis and troubleshooting
• Independent development of solutions for processing issues with our film products
• Support in the development of new products up to successful market launch
• Acting as an interface between research and development production sales and marketing with close collaboration
• Designing and conducting training sessions for internal and external target groups
• Analysis and evaluation of field data for the continuous optimization of products and processes

What you bring to the role

• Degree in mechanical engineering plastics engineering chemistry process engineering or packaging technology
• At least 5 years of professional experience in film processing
• In-depth expertise in film processing particularly in the areas of lamination printing slitting sealing and bag making
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Know-how in handling film properties (e.g. DSC FTIR modulus of elasticity MFI)
• Confident use of digital tools and data analysis
• Excellent command of English both spoken and written
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and flexibility
