Expert Financial Controller (m/w/d)

On behalf of a well‑funded and steadily growing life sciences company , we are hiring a Expert Financial Controller (m/w/d) to work closely with the CFO and further develop a scalable finance function.

The company operates in a highly regulated life sciences environment , combines proprietary technology with strong scientific expertise, and has already reached a stable operational and financial footing . While the setup remains entrepreneurial and fast‑moving, the business is financially solid , backed by long‑term investors and a clear growth strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and improving finance structures , but also values planning security, continuity, and long‑term perspective .

Your Role

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close end to end (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis)
• Create clear, decision‑ready reporting for management, board members, and investors
• Manage and coordinate external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness across multiple legal entities
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity, and actively steer working capital
• Take ownership of finance systems and tools (ERP, AP, reporting), ensuring reliability while driving automation and scalability
• Ensure correct financial and commercial treatment of public funding, grants, and subsidies

Your Profile

• 8-10 years of experience in accounting and/or controlling
• Solid background in financial closing processes and audit support
• Strong process and systems mindset, comfortable in structured and regulated environments
• Confident working with ERP systems and finance tools
• Fluent German and business‑level English
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; professional qualifications are a plus
